SOCIB takes part in the first virtual yacht show in the Balearic Islands
For the first time, Balearic Islands Coastal Observing and Forecasting System (SOCIB), participates in the “Balearic Yacht Show 2020”, the first virtual yacht show in the Balearic Islands. From November 18 to 20, public institutions, international and national nautical companies and professionals, nautical users from all over the world, Balearic Islands and sea lovers, will come together in this virtual show organised by the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce and the Balearic Marine Cluster.
Next Friday, November 20 at 1:00 p.m., the director of the ICTS SOCIB, Joaquín Tintoré, will hold the virtual conference entitled: “Capacities of the SOCIB at the Balearic Islands to observe, investigate and sustainably manage the Mediterranean”. The conference is free and those interested must register at the event’s official website.
Furthermore, during the three-days event, the ICTS SOCIB will feature the stand “Researching the ocean, sharing the future” showcasing the main lines of action of this public institution that works to develop scientific and technical knowledge, as well as products and services to make Mediterranean Sea marine and coastal resources more sustainable and healthy, thus responding to the environmental, economic, and social needs of the Balearic Islands.
