EUROFLEETS+ SEA-Call “Regional” now open
SEA-Call “REGIONAL" within the EUROFLEETS+ european program has been opened. 16 Ships and several AUVs, ROVs and a "satellite telepresence unit" are available to the scientific community, through the presentation of a research project that meets the eligibility criteria of the call. After the evaluation of EUROFLEETS+, the research team will have access to these infrastructures to carry out their scientific or technological development projects within the field of marine sciences. For the first time, RV SOCIB is one of these platforms available in this call offering 7 cruise days.
EUROFLEETS+ “An alliance of European marine research infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the research and industrial communities”, is an H2020 project funded under the Infrastructures initiative, coordinated by the Marine Institute that brings together a significant group of key marine research actors in Europe, North America and Oceania – 42 marine institutes, universities, foundations and SMEs from 24 countries.
The EUROFLEETS+ project will facilitate open access to an integrated and advanced research vessel fleet, designed to meet the evolving and challenging needs of the user community. European and international researchers from academia and industry will be able to apply for several access programmes. EUROFLEETS+ will prioritise support for research on sustainable, clean and healthy oceans, linking with existing ocean observation infrastructures, and it will support innovation through working closely with industry.
